Our Mission

Connected Giving

Our goal at Sixpence is to create a financial side to church community that resonates with principles we see throughout Scripture. Here, giving is not a form to get through, it is a piece of the Christian life to be lived out in community by all believers.

We call our approach, “Connected Giving,” because the goal is to create connected communities of believers who have tied their lives together in pursuit of the Gospel.

Three Core Principles

These three foundation beliefs are behind every feature we’ve created.

Together, they form our Connected Giving approach.

Connected Community

Biblical giving should be
rooted in Christian community

Acts 2 & 4,
2 Corinthians 8:1-8

Connected Finances

Biblical giving should be directly
tied to our finances

1 Corinthians 16:1-2, 2 Corinthians 9:8-11, Proverbs 3:9-10

Connected Lifestyles

Biblical giving should
involve the whole life

Deuteronomy 24:19-21, Romans 12:1,13, Matthew 25:31-46

If you’re interested in reading more about these principles, the Scripture we base them on, and the features we’re building to align with them, check out our e-book, Connected Giving: Three Principles of Biblical Generosity for Modern Life.

Sixpence is free to access, with no signup or recurring fees to utilize our giving platform. We believe that we shouldn’t make money unless we’re actually bringing money into your church.

Because of that, our only charge is a 4.9% processing fee on donations made through our platform. This includes the third-party fees charged by Stripe and Plaid to enable TitheConnect, Roundup Giving, and transfers. At the end of the day, we get about 2.5%-3%, which helps us to continue creating and supporting engaging giving experiences for you and your congregation.
